The New York Classical Players (NYCP) is a dynamic and versatile chamber orchestra composed of young musicians committed to bringing free, high-level concerts to diverse audiences in the greater New York City metropolitan area. A non-profit organization, NYCP was founded on the belief that access to excellence in music is an essential human right.
Concert Cycle 2:
Baroque & Beyond features an exquisite pairing of Baroque and contemporary music: two representative composers in each era. The performance includes Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 and Handel’s Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 5. In contrast, a multi talented musician Andy Lin will grab the audience’s attention as solo violist on Tabakova’s Suite in Old Style. The program ends with a Pulitzer Prize winner, Jennifer Higdon’s Dance Card.
