The Cecilia Chorus of New York with Orchestra

  • Carnegie Hall: Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage New York, NY, 10019 United States (map)

The 170 voices of Cecilia Chorus of New York celebrate the season with music by Bernstein and Bach. The group performs Bernstein's rousing and serene Chichester Psalms—a plea for unity in divided times—and selections from Mass, a work that pulls classical, rock, and pop idioms into exhilarating musical synthesis. The performance concludes with Bach's Cantata No. 63, the only Christmas cantata to use four trumpets.
